Skiffy is Kit Ballard’s pet Skiff, he’s only a puppy and weighs about 5kg. He’s been more or less tagging along after her as a sidekick ever since the incident with the heard of gas grazers out past the Inotan Pace. He’s generally quite laid back but can get vicious if he thinks Kit is going to be harmed. Skiffs in general are common place on Myridia and have evolved into many different forms. Skiffy is a Short Tail Nahm Skiff, one of the more doglike varieties. They have the ability to change the colors of their markings as a type of non-verbal communication system. They also possess two flight glands on their back which give them the ability to fly short distances.
