Just a little boring forum game to give people something to post in when they visit but dont have anything to respond to the current active topics: basically, just post what you're doing right now or have just done. You can include pics, links etc just keep it clean - we have minors on this site!
Ive just spent a few hours playing an old MUD I used to play like 10 years ago - mega trip down retro lane. Now its your turn. _________________ The Capture of Sarah Fingers - A BK Fanfic |

I'm at work. Watching my last hour tick by. Today's my 'friday' (get 2 days off after today) so it simply cannot end soon enough. I'm also browsing the web and posting on other forums while I wait.

Just got back from vacation & picked up my truck from the body shop (new rear bumper panted) I have tomorrow off as well work sat, sun then off Mon, Tues. Things of late have been kinda of a bummer. last week my throat was killing me so i went to the Dr. not strep so no meds they could prescribe me other than stock up on throat lozenges. Last sun i got Laryngitis & left work early . This got worse then better. Right now i'm still not at 100% . But Right now other than sitting here typing i'm watching Futarama then a new South park then some Kekkaishi then bed.

I've been recovering from a recent family problem and leveling in Disgaea DS. Had it for a long time, but I hadn't bothered to do the whole leveling into the thousands before now.

Playing Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare on PS3, aiming for the "Zed's Dead, Baby" trophy (100%). Going between this and Blade Kitten, also checking for new content.
Update: Ding! You earned a trophy Zed's Dead, Baby. I unlocked it just a day or two after this post. Last edited by ANIMATOR_CP4E on Mon Nov 01, 2010 6:53 am, edited 1 time in total. |

Insomnia blows big time, mainly because even though you cant sleep you lack the motivation to do anything constructive during that time, I feel for you.
Just delaying getting ready for work now... probably should get dressed soon, its not long till the weekend! _________________ The Capture of Sarah Fingers - A BK Fanfic |

Playing MUGEN too much, got 'in season' for playing Tekken, listening to Touhou music.
And oh god I finding that troll down just for kicks. EDIT: Don't ask what sort of madness goes on in my head, this combination drains your mind. _________________ "Nyaa~" Mannerism Warning: Tends to talk in Old English(sometimes in an attempt to subliminally influence) |

Is Touhou music that super fast asian eurobeat stuff? Think I saw a game on YouTube with that in the background, looked hellishly difficult!

Just got done finding the kitty transport cases, got an appointment with the Vet in a couple of houers, it's time for the annual checkups and vaccinations.
They hate going to the Vet though, and the drive, so it's never a fun prospect, just something that has to be done _________________ And the Steve's are there! |

Phoenix wrote: And i'm currently printing and planning for my open day visit at Bournemouth UNi When is this open day, and which campus? I'm currently studying at Talbot campus. As for what I'm doing right now, I'm trying to figure out my new video capture device. I need to get some splitters so I can hook my 360 up to my PC and TV at the same time so I won't be forced to play on a 5-inch preview box. Right now its down to working out what file type and settings to use for the final output (I've been getting everything from low quality 15MB files to original quality 4.3GB files!). _________________ http://www.thermalsoarer.com

Bournemouth is a nice town. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay.
I can understand the overnight stay as my parents house is about 30 miles up the coast but it was a bit too much for me to have to get the train down every day so I've moved into a house about a 20 min walk from the campus. _________________ http://www.thermalsoarer.com

I'm stabilizing my 4.0ghz processor, I was on a Wager match on Black Ops and i got the ALL MIGHTY BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH and the worse part is I was winning. Don't worry i won the previous Wager match so i didn't waste 500 cod points for nothing

Core i7's have a thing called Turbo Boost, it overclocks your processor automatically depending on how many cores your using. It beats all the previous dual core/quad core processors on the market, that's why it owns so much.
As for BSOD, there are many reasons to cause 1. Since Im overclocking my processor a lot its obvious it's bound to fail SO i gave it a little more voltage (1.525v) to stabilize the beast. Also, temperatures are in acceptable levels reaching about 55C in full load (it's an E8400). |

Lol Turbo Boost is not what makes rendering blistering fast. It's the processor in this case. I haven't researched core i7 performance on laptops BUT knowing its performance from desktops, what makes fast rending is the amount of cores the processor has, the more you have the faster it renders.
Putting it simple= I have a core 2 duo = 2 cores to render = about 5 minutes a 1 minute full HD clip. You = core i7 = 8 cores = OMG IT'S SO FAST WTFBBQLMAO |

Cool background
It's simple, it's called Hyper-Threading. It was introduced in the Pentium age ( I had and still have 1 of those ). To be honest i still don't know how it works exactly but I'm going to try to explain it as best as I can. You are correct it is a quad core processor BUT for each physical core you have ( 4 ) you gain 1 virtual core per physical core ( +4). It's not like if you have 8 cores but it does simulate them and give you a huge performance increase. I'm not a tech guy, I just like to know things thats all ^^ |
